I am trying to put apps on a TI-84 Plus but it disconnects every time I try to do it. Then it connects after a few seconds but it is long enough to disconnect it.

You are using TIconnect, right? Well, you should try replacing the batteries and/or restarting your computer.
Any error codes?

Are you using Windows XP? See if it works under an admin account, and also try downgrading your calculator version if it's above 2.40. (Anyone have a link?)

ahhh... Good ole 80070005. I've found that the only way to fix this is reboot, replug and retry. This happens occasionally to me.

It sounds like the last thing to try is a different USB port...

Try buying a USB card for your computer and plug into that.

I've had a problem at one point where it was conveniently fixed by plugging into that, so I'm inclined to think that some motherboard's built in USB ports are crap.
