So my mom just got us a new laptop, and it has Vista installed. I set the computer up, and got it all working so that it can get on the internet and all (this is from the laptop itself). But here is the problem: I want both of my comps to be able to access files on the other at any given point. Also, since a printer is attached to our desktop which runs XP, I would like to be able to print from the laptop. So far I have been able to set the XP PC to the workgroup MSHOME, and the Vista workgroup to MSHOME also. My PC can see my laptop, but the laptop can't see the PC.

If anyone could help me that would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and MS's website is doing me nothing so far.

Edit: I just retried, and the connection between my PC and laptop seems to be fine. I can access files from the PC that are on the laptop, but not vice versa. The laptop keeps saying "Network diagnostics pinged the host but did not receive a response".

Again, thanks ahead of time.
