What version of windows are you using?

There is also the open source alternative, TiLP / TiLP2

It's really personal preference, but I'm pretty sure others can say it works fine.

look up the internet archive, type in http://ti.com

If you look in... 1997? I found TI-Connect 1.0 for download.
