I know, you must think I am crazy, but I am actually making Battleship with a 3 difficulty AI on the NSpire.

Features:
AI, 3 difficulty
Hit and Miss notification
Starting a new game (You kind of need this)
Auto save (Will save your progress until you start a new game)
Non Graphical (Sadly, a graphical version is not possible now with the limited functions)

Anything else?

All of you NSpire user(s), it is your lucky day! I need you to test it Smile

I consider myself ignorant, but shouldn't you be able to transfer that to the 84 and 83 families, perhaps by changing the file extention? A lot of people don't have Nspires yet.

Text sprite I will work on later, but this is for Nspire user only, because the NSpire programs are in a different format (89 style basic).

You really need to visit ticalc.org if you think that there aren't a ton of fun games for the 83+.

Text sprites (using the disp command).

Yes, it does. I am aware of all of the current limits.

Hey, I don't have an Ti-Nspire and don't know what limitations it has.

Can you do an "output" thing like on the 83\84?

Goodluck..

They have a Disp command for now. When they implement other programming commands, I will make use of them.

Yes, the Nspire seems kinda limited in the programming sense, so it would be really cool to get games on it.

Wow, looks like fun. 'S too bad the Nspire is such an underdeveloped product, or TIs sales would greatly increase. And you would be able to do a graphical version of battleship Smile

Today the Nspire was released in Quebec, I just saw it in the Staples flyer. It's funny how it's only $12 more expensive than the TI-84+, which costs $147 where I live. If they ever add more functions I may buy one, but it will not be until I get my new computer next fall or winter (since I am planning to upgrade to meet Starcraft II requirements)

Hm....how do you make a game with only disp commands and nothing to place something specifically on the screen? ><
