I want a video program that can record while I'm playing a video game and I can see the game. Oh, and it needs to be LINUX compatible.

I don't know if it's compatible with Linux, but Logitech Studio can work with a webcam. If you have a Logitech webcam, that'll work. The software is free. look it up on google.

Uh.. what? The raw1394 is only needed if you're doing things with a DV camera. Odds are you don't have any module providing /dev/video0, which is why you're getting some error message (what, though? Be more specific.).

I was ok with gtkRecordMyDesktop, although it captured at a measly 15 fps, didn't always catch changes to what was onscreen, and encoded to theora (although theora is no problem if you're clever).

oh. It isn't a camera, its a card. Oh, and are you sure. in screenshots, tvtime always shows pink (so I've herad).
