I increased his warning level and sent him this PM:
Quote:
You are being warned for double posting. Please review the Terms and Conditions, with particular attention to rule #4. The initial failure to abide by any of these guidelines will result in a warning, but repeat offenses may be answered with a suspension or a ban on your account, so please do your best to uphold these rules from now on.

Tips on avoiding double posting:

Make use of the edit button that is located on the underside of each of your posts if you wish to post a new comment before someone else has a chance to reply.

Always give people ample enough time to come by your post and read/reflect upon it. If you find that no one has given you a response for an entire day (24-hour period), then post again with extra details so that people will have more to go on.

Try to resist making posts that are solely intended to give thanks, etc. We like to think of gratitude as the default response for our giving someone help, and would prefer to see some new ideas or information shared in the next few posts instead of a foreseeable emotion which tends to be expressed in only one sentence.

Also, if you come up with something else to say, then you'll not have wasted a free post on a non-obligatory "thank you," thus giving people a better chance to see that new information posted instead of skipping over what'd be an edit otherwise.

Of course, the best way to remind yourself not to double post is to remember that we do have rules on that, which you should listen to.

If you have further questions or comments, feel free to send me a PM by clicking here.
