If I have a maps, and I want a person to be able to move on it and once the person reaches the edge, it clears the screen and a new part of the world shows up, should i store the maps and generate them as a tilemap or should I store the map data as a screenshot and put it on the screen with (_grbufcpy)?

TileMaps for sure ... screens would be murder space wise (you would only be able to have a small map), plus collisions like adam said.

yes, and if it changes the tile map to move the person, then there is very little you have to save!
