File Name :: List To String Converter
Author :: Iambian
Category :: Ti-83plus Asm Routines
Description ::
A very simple utility that converts a real (not complex) list of either one of the six predefined list variables, or one of the many user-defined list variables that one could create.

The inputs and outputs are similar in nature to Celtic's inputs/outputs, but you'll need to read the ReadME since operating the program isn't obvious and the potential error codes require a table to decipher.

Current limitations include the fact that the program will only convert positive integers. Anything on the right side of the decimal point is stripped, signs are stripped, and an error is generated if the number is between 1 and -1. Don't like those limitations? The source is included if you're so inclined to rebuild the program yourself.

Original purpose was to feed Celtic the output of this program so that a list variable could be stored into a program var in a format that would lend itself to easy retrieval. One could also use this program as a rudimentary form of list compression.

Hoho! I've been told that this was to help tifreak8x with Pokemon Purple, but guess what? It's going to be extremely helpful in xPegz! Jeez, Iambian, it seems like you spend a lot of time on Basic utilities...too bad CELTIC2 is dead...

Although I had said that Celtic has been discontinued, I might think about reworking the said program to include code using the "Spare RAM" idea that I posted in the Project Ideas forum. Although I hadn't tested it, I also tried to implement a delete line feature again. The code used in Celtic doesn't seem so confusing once I started working on the memory project, so... who knows?

And, yeah, I *do* spend a lot of time on BASIC utils. Reason being is that I don't think I have enough interest to keep it up with the Z80 ASM scene anymore. That's why I'm doing relatively simple projects to empower more motivated people to do things that the limited programming language would only dream of doing.

Also, it gives me a warm feeling on the inside to know that there are people using mah creations Smile

Well, don't worry. CELTIC2 is probably the second-to-most used ASM util I'm using for xPegz (First is xLIB--duh).

I'd love to see CELTIC2 continue to make Basic better!
