| I've been noticing a lot of obvious spambots like oneclickcashx, viagra-rezeptfrei, Shellysexygirl registering in the past few months. Not that I'm disappointed Shelly and her friends couldn't join us, but how are we blocking the bots? Are we blocking them bots? |

A couple of months ago, we made it so that new members (members with no posts) couldn't post in the Announcements topic.
Since that's where spambots tend to go, they find themselves unable to post, so they don't do anything.
However, unless we improve the captcha or something along those lines, we can't stop them from registering. It's not an ideal solution, but it's good enough. |

| It might be a good idea, by way of cleanup, to delete members who registered over a year ago, but haven't validated or posted. |
