I asked Adm.Wiggin about his sprite program, and he said it wasn't stable and isn't efficient yet. Could someone make a sprite program that reads the sprites from strings in a hex format, and a string can store many sprites all the size specified. Something like this:
{2,8,1,0,0,0:Asm(prgmSPRITE
String #, Size(Same for X and Y), Sprite #(In the string), Sprite location X, Sprite location Y, Logic(AND/OR/XOR/Ect)
Something like that. Could someone make a prog like this quickly for me? |

That's not easy. But it is interesting and possible to do in asm ! However, I don't have enough time...
Could you a little bit more explain how you would use it (I don't really understand how you use String # and Sprite #. And what would your string look like ?) |

Well, I won't even think about attempting this, but I would like to know how you plan on doing it, so I have the same questions as Tyraniek. |

The string would look like a bunch of hex code slammed together. Or another form of code, like binary. Sprite # would chose a sprite in the "list". If the size of the sprite was 8, it would skip whatever the size of 64 pixels in hex code is that many times in the string, chop of the size of 64 pixels from that spot and draw it on the graph screen.
I figured a way like that would save space compared to useing Pics with OmniCalc, because the size of the file is not limited and can be smaller than pics. I need this numbered system because that's pretty much how I store my levels in my RPG. Back several months ago(Around March), I make the calculations to use OmniCalc in a way like this. This program I described would elimiate the need for such calcuations, so if the program is as fast or faster than OmniCalc, my program would be faster than before, so a program like this would be very useful to me.
Sometimes I wish I knew asm... |
