I need some ideas for a project so, is there anything you guys would like to see done on calc, that you won't or can't do for various reasons? Anything. Basic tools, asm utilites. I need some ideas for a project.

A vertical enemy shooter (ex: Raptor), much like phantom star, but different with menu and levels (Like in Raptor...)

Just an idea...

This topic has been made many times before (it's ok, I did it once too Very Happy
I like RTS's, pretty much any would be cool (I prefer sci-fi backdrops)
A Wario-Ware type game would also be cool.
But I always love FPS/RPG FPS (like DOOMRPG for cellphone)

I am always prepared with about 50 ideas.
You could port online games such as Escape, you could remake a simple 80's game such as excitebike, missile command, or galaga, you could create a *good* mario bros (not super mario bros) clone (how many times have I mentioned that before?), you could make a really awesome oncalc greyscale pic creator/viewer utility, you could do a stereo music creator program (much like "the sounds of music" for 83+, but one that actually works), or a game&watch game, but I'd better stop here before I really get started.

Actually just one more, a worms armageddon/world party clone, like TI-ny Worms which was never completed.

A game like Raptor would be awesome, especially if you could get the tilting left and right in and maybe even grayscale. I still play it every now and then. Also, a good picture editor would be nice.

Or some tower-defence game...

Dragon Warrior Monsters. I will give you 10 bucks if you make an accurate port.

I think someone's working on a Dragon Warrior (not monsters) port. You'll probably have to settle for that.

I'd go with an Ice Climbers/Excitebike/Flicky/something like that clone. Those sound pretty doable, and would be pretty fun.

If you did 68k, you could do a(n) Ice Climbers/Flicky/Bubble Bobble/Graph3/CaBaMap/QWERTY clone Very Happy. I've always wanted to be able to do some of those on my 89.

These ideas are really good guys, thanks. Although, when I made this topic I did not have a game in mind... But these ideas are doable, so this really got me to think. If you have any more. I'd be happy to hear them.

Oups...

Then maybe a tool to move things in the graph screen (I mean like having your sprite (not aligned) to move to somewhere else, with/without the graph screen affected...)

I'm really looking for an calc org, that I can team up with, so I don't have to be a lone coder.

I would be willing to help, but I'm doing my own project with others right now. I still would offer help in the planning stages, but I don't have any time for coding.

I'd be happy to help... I only have a contest and a school programming thing to do.

What's your idea of project?

Dragon Master, why don't you just team up with the community project?
