You should be able to transplant one if they used identical LCD models. If not, you'd have to check with the vendor and find someone who still distributes it.

I wouldn't use acetone - it has a tendency to dissolve any plastic, so it would probably dissolve the screen as well as the adhesive.

I've had the most luck with WD-40. However, keep that away from ribbon cables to the best of your ability!. Use the one that doesn't come in a spray can for best results.
