Well, a couple years ago, I had to send my calculator back to TI for repairs because I dropped it and the com port was busted. But I've dropped it plenty of times since then, still works fine.

Well the highest drop my calculator ahs suffered thus far is about 8 feet. It managed to come out with only a scratch on the casing. I tripped and it flew in the air.

Most mine ever fell was around 7 to 8 feet, damaged that casing you can slide on a bit so now it's very loose and keeps falling off from time to time.

Let me know when they invent one that doesen't wear down. It's the most common reason I drop my calculator: I'm holding onto the slide and the calculator comes out of it.

My slide case has been loose for years.

As of now, it slides off effortlessly!

Yea the case usually slips off jsut from the wear of 2 plastic bumps. If they replaced these bumps with metal ones, then they would not wear. Wear on the case would be much less as the entire rail of the inner cover is subjected to sliding over the bumps. In addition, a new cover is easy to find and purchase, where as a new calculator is more difficult. Smile

And I would pay more for a slide that didn't wear, so they would make money and be happy. Remember: Ti-cares(butonlyaboutmoney)@ti.com

About those animated GIF files in Powerpoint:

You can insert them as a movie, but instead of selecting a MPEG or AVI or... file, you can select the animated GIF. This will cause the GIF being animated
