I am personally not into text based RPGs, first because I prefer when I can explore world by walking on a map and finding stuff, even if the graphics are just symbols, and also because there are so many at ticalc.org that it becomes harder and harder to find a graphical rpg in the BASIC section of their archives. However I would like to see a very funny text RPG come out :)

EDIT I might be biased tho because I only made graphical RPGs with very few text based stuff, even though some were on the home screen

Thakns for pointin to TI-City Radical pi. :)

As to why there are so many little progs, etc:

I have found that delegating routines to other programs make the game a little bit faster, because it doesn't bloat the engine code. As to why I made the game the way it was, I was trying to mimic the greatest text RPG of all time: Medievia. This game is played over Tel-net, and has MILLIONS of rooms to explore. Check it out for yourself: http://www.medievia.com (You will want to download putty, a telnet application)

That game was what made me make the game. :)

Did you try that version of the game??? What did you think of it, versus convential Menu based RPG games?
