This topic is about my basic strategy game "age of culture"
Programming Language used: Basic (Game is in ASM-Niveau)
game type: strategy
played in SINGLEPLAYER only
Features: Campain mode, VERY userfriendly, handsome graphics, build menu, administrating workers, advance an age, imaginatively battle-system, two types of soldiers and much more.
AND THE WHOLE GAME WONT USE ANY PIC OR STRING SO THAT YOU CAN PLAY WITHOUT ANY DISTURBING ERRORS!!!
THERE IS ONLY 1 File needed to send to your calculator; the game itselfes (can be ARCHIVED AND PLAYED IN MIRAGE OS!!!) and the game list.
Its so easy to install and the game itselfes is userfriendly, well designed and very fun to play!
Screenz (version 1.4):
Currently working on: see readme-file (included)
edit:Latest Version with 20-level-campain included as File-attachment

When you set a specific release date, things often go very wrong...I'll expect it done by (aah, no talk of release dates here )
Otherwise, I better not be disappointed... |

Same here, sounds awesome, so long as this strategy game isn't like mine. |

This didn't sound like an "isometric strategy game"
more like a real life simulation with all the scifi and fantasy that we've come to throw into everything we do. |

if you use the SetupEditor trick you shouldn't even have to send the game list. |

That trick is perfect? You have tested it for all scenarios and it works? There has to be something wrong with it... |

it automatically creates a list if it doesn't exist and unarchives it if it is archived.
If anything is in the list, it doesn't destroy the data. |

 oh sorry when my explanation was not so clear.
Im german - what do you expect?^^
Im just on it to finish the first version. The only thing I have to do is putting all the subroutines together to one program.
(the program will be anything like 11000 bytes - but - because you can play it in mirage Os while having it archived 11000 is nothing cause of the nearly unlimited archive-memory. )
and NO i am not using any tool like xlib ore other asm-tools.
To install my game you will just need to send it to your calc and thats' it!
Then you can start to play!
I just added three difficultys and cheats are also included (you get them when you manage to defead your enemy - he is defeaded when he lost all his 100 live points, which are lost when you win a war against him.)
I know, when you hear "Basic" you think of bad graphics, slow games and maaany maany subroutines. But like I already said - THIS WILL NOT BE THE CASE - it will be in asm-niveau so that the only con of this game is that it takes 11000 bytes of your memory (which shouldnt be a problem cause you can play it while its archived on mirage OS)
look forward! Its really worth it!
I THINK (and hope) it'll come out still today.
The first release will be in THIS forum and in THIS topic

It doesnt work, I get an ERR:SYNTAX in PTI, the 8xp file seems to be corrupted (the code modified itself when it was sent to the computer) |

Please don't double post. Just press the edit button.
Too bad I can't play this. It's probably better than anything I can do. |

see the screenshot attached to this post: this is where the error is. (at the "°" symbol), look like when you sent the file to your computer it self modified. Could you post the source code so I can correct each of those errors manually I cant wait to try it :(
also what version of Ti connect do you use? What calc model and what TI-OS version?
Maybe its not compatible with the serial cable (black one)?
EDIT btw I tried under Windoze XP home and I have a 83+ OS 1.14 and 83+SE OS 1.18 (I tried with both)

some of us still have 84+'s and can play it. Elsewise, you may be able to rewrite that part to disinclude the timer function of create your own way to have a sort of timer, by adding one to a variable each time through the loop. |

what is the timer for?
if it's to give you a certain amount of time to choose an option (like in my game), I just use a for() loop.
