In some other forums, I've seen this cool feature called "Quick Edit". Here's what it is:
When you click the edit button, the message pops ups asking if you want to do a normal "Full Edit" or the "Quick Edit".
If you hit quick, your post turns into a textbox with a few options around it (as you can see in the pic).
It's faster than opening up a brand new page, probably uses less bandwidth, and nice for correcting little things like spelling mistakes, bbcode errors, etc...

Well, the whole forum is php but I'm pretty sure this edit is Javascript since you don't have to reload the page. I might be wrong, though...
Here's another version of it where Quick Edit is actually automatic (notice the "Go Advanced" button, though):
P.S. Alt-click the anchor point to fix this.

| ther eis a mod for invisionfree that does it but the problem is that it only works in IE and Opera, not in Mozilla and firefox |

That's in a phpbb forum, not invision  You might be able to change that code, though. (when I say "You", I mean you, aww! You're pretty good at js, eh? Not sure if acc is also...)

Yes we have paid for a life-time subscription of IPB.

It's not as if I'm going to Hawaii—I'm only focusing on other things a bit more now; if I make posts at
UTI in the next few weeks, it's just answering questions that I feel others might have problems with.
