I tried it with the UTI logo and it didn't let me. It seems to be images, txt, and zip only. Unless admins get special privilages.

Only the files with mime types as those in conf_mime_types.php in the forum's root directory are allowed. At least that's how it works on 1.3.

By default it includes .zip, .txt, .doc, .pps, some image formats like .gif and .jpg, and probably 1 or two I forgot, and I added .rar, .tar.bz, .xls to my own installations of IPB(1.3).

The types allowed are, I've discovered, a setting in the Admin CP. So far these are the files allowed:

.aiff, .bmp, .css, .doc, .gif, .gz, .hqx, .htm, .html, .ico, .jpeg, .jpg, .mov, .mp3, .mpg,
.pdf, .php, .png, .ppt, .ps, .ram, .rar, .rtf, .tar, .tiff, .txt, .viv, .wav, .wmv, .xml, .zip

Should I add the .8*p types?

That would be helpful; and those never get very large anyway. Can you add .gst and .gsm for Graphics Studio sprites/maps?

Ok. Not going to add images and the like, though, I figure they're not going to be attached by themselves anyway, and if there's more than one file make it a zip.
