This is going to be a puzzle game.
Plans:
-Fix the storyline.
-Finish some features.
-Try to learn asm.
-Finish the game in asm

First Screen Shot:

Runs smoother and not as jumpy on calc.

that sprite looks very much like the one in DigiTan's RPG...

Edit: nice job, but I'm very much confused as to the "malfunctioning" message...

Yes, kalan_vod approached me over the email last winter and asked permission to use some the RW Demo sprites. It looks like the game has come a long way since I last saw it. Any info on the game background? Cool

Does it run that fast on the calc? What is it, BASIC / XLib?

No, but the speed is really good, and yes basic w/ xLib.
I haven’t touched it in quite some time, but I recently updated it with the xLib app., instead of xLib and onmicalc.
Edit: The background (story?), well its similar to resident evil (hence the name Res  ) and also like desolate is with puzzles. By the way, the puzzles will be more complex then in this screen shot Very Happy.

or make it pure basic like Donut-Quest!!!!that is the sort of Basic game we need more of....single file, no sprite sheets, no memory hogging libraries. I am a recent convert to that sort of games, and programming them is more fun, because you have to think more

I say definately finish up the BASIC version, then while you're at it, draw up plans for the ASM title. (Usually takes a ton of planning to pull of any puzzle game anyway.) Do you have a release date set up is it still a little too early for that?

I lose intrest in programing so often, I sometimes don't know where to go with the game itself. If anyone would like to help in anyway email me at kalan_vod@lycos.com thanks.

That's happend to me in every game I've done so far. What I do to get around that now is write out everything I'm planning in advance. A lot of programmers will badmouth psuedocode, but darned if it doesn't kill writers' block.

Its nice that UTI now have more TI stuff talk, last year it was mostly computer and random talk, like cemtech and ticalcs.proboards41.com, now it seems a lot more balanced, not to mention more active. Also since most ppl here program BASIC unlike at MaxCoderz there are a lot less BASIC flaming, maybe not at all.

I like the idea of making the first game in BASIC then attempting at making a sequel in ASM then Smile

Random talk? Hey, I thought our topics on sporks and vending machines were very relevant to calculators. Heh heh. Razz

Anyway, which ever way you decide, check out a few ASM tutorials while you're still on the BASIC project. That might help sort things out and make the first week of coding a little less chaotic.

Check your email.

Here is a new screen shot, it's the title and is in grayscale, but it isn't given much justice by the ss. Haven't really touched this until tonight when I saw how great Kevin’s XXR title was Very Happy.

P.S. There are three different title screens, which is why I ran it a few times, also Cobb thanks for Pindurti Very Happy.
Edit: Ss is updated with pindurs' builtin screenshooting program Very Happy.
