You don't send over the .z80 file, that's the source code itself Smile
Instead; send over the .8xp file; thats the program.

Read the readme; it should tell you these things (at least; something like 'send galax.8xp to calc', etc). If not, complain to the author Very Happy.

Furthermore; you need Mirage for that. You have this; correct?

The cool part is now there are a ton of asm libraries that basic programs can use to achieve near-asm quality games

Of course, there are also certain pure Basic games out there well worth playing as well. Contra, for example, and Donut Quest...

Welcome to the world of Assembly! Enjoy your stay, keep hand and feet off the calculator (well, maybe just the feet).

By the way, Mirage itself doesn't do anything to the game quality. Actually, if you have the 83 Silver, it slows down Basic games.
It's the games themselves that are in a special language that bypasses the calculator's conventional programming.
How am I doing with the n00b explanation?

Edit: Oh... delete Galaxian and download Phoenix. It's (better)E23.

They are different games... It'd be like saying delete Half-Life and install Counterstrike
They are similar, but not the same. I find Galaxian is much more of a challenge and more intertaining
