Combining Hydrogen and Oxygen makes a mixture called "air". You need, like calcul831415 said, electricity, heat, or extreme pressure to make it form water. Even then, most of the gas is exploded away and you are only left with a little water.
But thats real physics, and I'm sure in a game, makin' H20 into snow is ok . |

Like I said in school, I don't like the element ideas. How about new futuristick elements like unununununium  .

BASIC rite Lunar Wolf Demon? My favorite element for some reason is Beryllium, element 4. It's supposed to be really strong/hard for it's density and it's used for special steel alloys. You may know it as the emerald. Armor perhaps?
ASM is always a good choice.
@3FG and sigma: It'd really sucked if the atmosphere was H and O. The first lightning storm will incinerate the entire face of the Earth. |

Uhh...
congrats, "Advanced Noob"
This will definitely be a game i'll play.
Maybe add some of the bigger elements (112 and above) that only they can do the ultimate spells, but they undergo radioactive decay forcing you to make some quick decisions about battle. |

Ouch, poetic justice! This game sounds very unique and interesting, and I'll have to investigate further when it's released. Oh, I like the element system too .
EDIT: I became an Advanced Newbie a while ago, WITHOUT the aid of meaningless posts.
I guess ununununununununium would be sorta funny the first time, but it would be an absolute pain to fit in a textbox, what with the size of the 83(+(SE))/84+(SE)'s screen size. Of course, nilium pwns all  .

It's unununium = 111ium = the 111th element. |

calcul831415 wrote: @3FG and sigma: It'd really sucked if the atmosphere was H and O. The first lightning storm will incinerate the entire face of the Earth. Sigma correct threefingered guy, replacing hydrogen with nitrogen. Nitrogen + Oxygen are make up most of the air we breathe.
elfprince13 wrote: I know, but I meant it [ununumium] got a real name.... It took you longer to type that than it did for me to actually look up the answer.
Wikipedia wrote: Unununium can mean:
* a chemical element formely known as unununium (Uuu) or eka-gold, now known as roentgenium (Rg)
* an operating system, Unununium |

I know he corrected him. Nitrogen is about 80% of the atmosphere. |

Well, according to my calc (chemistry APP is awesome!) and chemsoc.org, the 110th element is Darmstadtium, and according to only chemsoc.org, the 111th is Roentgenium. |

Who's recommending these names? I don't understand their origins!
Is that app for 89? |

They're named after scientists most of the time. Sometimes the ones who discovered them, sometimes just cool scientists that deserved it.
(The ones that are synthetic - the ones that occurred naturally were given names based on their Latin name. Usually.) |

Quote: Sound's like Runescape. Talk to axcho about these kind of RPG elements; he is really into the math/science/art of RPG elements. Thanks, I guess. I'm not just into the math/science/art of RPG elemnts, I'm just really into all of game design!
I'm here if you want to talk to me, Lunar Wolf Demon. I suppose I could give you feedback on your elemental system if you want. |
