Wow, I really like that. It pops up a huge red box when you have a new message now. Don't know how long it's done that, because I don't get that many messages. All I know is that without that box, I wouldnt have noticed I had a new message for a long time :D

That feature has been in place since we upgraded to the forums to 2.0.x. Although it does have some problems, it only shows you that once, even if you have multiple messages awaiting. If you don't immediately read the message and check your inbox for other new messages you could easily miss other new messages.
