The 236 Users online really means we had 236 unique hits within 15 minutes on June 4th. Guests count too.

I checked with AlienCC. It was actually search engines too that helped us get that many hits.

I strongly suggest that you save large images into a different
format, or at least crop/resize them. By looking at the change
in file size, you'll see my point—Bitmaps are seriously bloated.  [post="52884"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]

yea. wow.

As:
bmp = ~2mb
jpg = ~200kb [post="52909"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]

Jpeg's are terrible for screenshots with text. Maybe you should use png or tiff.

The bots send a footprint much like everyone's computer does which typically includes Webbrowser/OS to every webpage you ever visit.

The bots return a USER_AGENT and also are expected from certain IP addresses.

Good question, but I don't really feel like making my own bot to find out.

I don't think so: all hits used to be the hi-fi version. Now they're all Outline and lo-fi.
