Fine, I'll try it!
Which extensions do you guys recommend? How do you make extensions?

Adblock (pretty much "Never see ads again" - disable for UTI perhaps )
RIP (Similar to adblock, but you can block more stuff)
Those would be the ones I would suggest for everyone
Others I have installed:
Cookie Culler (Manage cookies easily)
ForecastFox (weather in status bar)
ReloadEvery (auto-reload pages)
ImageZoomer (Zoom in/out on any image)
1337k3y - 4u70m471(4||y 7yp3 1n 1337, m0r53 (0d3, 81n4ry, wh473v3r.
I would suggest that you choose any that look interesting here; you can always uninstall if you don't like them.

That's not really an extension, it just changes the right-click options for the link to firefox on the desktop.
I'm not sure how to create your own extensions, but I think I remember from somewhere many of them are created in JavaScript. (?) |

Oh, I see... Wow, Nice! I'm liking this! So far I have:
Adblock
ImageZoomer
All-in-One Gestures (to mimic Avant Browser)
Tabbrowser preferences
Edit: How do I unblock UTI's google ad? Sorry for all the stupid questions .

Don't block Google ads with Adblock. There's really no way you can keep the ad with only one site, unless you disable adblock when you visit it. |

Ahh, ok...
How can you people live without "URL Alias"? I just type in hot, uti, mp, etc... and it gets me to hotmail, unitedti, myspace, etc. :)
Thanks everyone! This thing really is better than Avant Browser . Now I'm just looking for something that lets you move the tabs around...

FlashGot is supposed to be good, but I dispise it, it messed my browser up very badly. Had to remove it manually. Manually removing firefox extensions is not fun, it involves removing hundreds of entries in dozens of obscure files.
I got fed up with it so I just emptied the whole extensions directory.
Let's see what I have to reinstall now:
And showip, but the link is broken at this moment. :(

I think Arcane is just making a statement that if you install too many things without testing them you may need to use SafeMode ot uninstall them. Yes, you can start Firefox in Safemode then remove extentions. He will be luckey if FireFox restarts after installing all that.

[post="52594"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] I don't think installing a lot of extensions in one go is much of a problem, the list above worked perfectly. Just don't include something, that doesn't quite work well like FlashGot, in that list.
Yes, it's possible to try and remove extensions in safe mode, but for me the whole problem was that FlashGot messed up its/the uninstall feature somehow so I couldn't uninstall anything anymore, safe mode or not. |

I meant a Firefox extension.
Avant can do it too. |

Avant sucks. It is a little bit too much like IE including security issues. |

It's basically a shell for IE... It just gives it more functionality.

I see. Sounds like crapware to me.
You may as well stick with IE instead of just run a Shell on top of it.
If you want improved security, you will need to switch to Firefox, Mozilla, or even Opera or Netsape.
I would recomend you stick with Mozilla products such as Mozilla Suite or Firefox. |

OK, back to the topics of FX extensions, please?
Has anyone tried leetkey? I downloaded it recently but can't get the hang of using it all the time. |

Is that the program that automatically types in leet? What's the point/functionality of it, except for entertainment?

Yeah, converts leet to regular and vice versa. Also works with morse code, r13, binary, hex...
I think I've finally figured it out, but it still takes me a couple of clicks to get it right.
