I also saw in my statistics that the majority of the viewers of my site STILL uses IE. Gotta make a post about that Smile

That saddens me. Sad My site doesn't display correctly in IE. I think it has something to do with the way IE render images, though there are still some bugs in the Xhtml. 57% of my site visitors use firefox.

only 40% for me.. compared to 42 percent for IE. I may be pushing that IE number up myself, i'm using IE cuz firefox doesn't work on this comp.

For me it's 62.7% IE, and 32.3% Firefox. I wish I could see the percent for visitors and not for hits.

Like Leofox, I may be pushing that number up myself.

I'll admit, I'm now responsible for at least some of the "Unknown" browsers.

It's either a plugin for whatever browser he's using or it's supported by that browser by default, or maybe scripted into it.

Here's a link to a user agent switcher for Mozilla:

You can add user agents and edit excisting ones as you please.

Yep, that's the one, can't you recognize it from the screenshot?

I use it for sites that say "You are using a web browser we do not support. Please upgrade to Internet Explorer 6.0+." Sometimes the scripts are so stupid that "Alex's fake browser" works, as it is not Firefox/Opera.

Silly so called web programmers trying to make their page work with a single webbrowser, instead of just adhering to the standards so it works in all proper web browsers to begin.

Yeah and web programmers who check for browsers by looking up the user agent in javascript are almost worse.

They wouldn't make several versions of their website for different browsers by checking for the user agent and running the appropriate code if they tried to make their page work in only one browser.

That wouldn't be the only reason they'd check the browser with javascript.

Sorry for the double post, I thought without a bump my question would never get answered:

how come 131% of my visitors add my page to their favorites list? how is that even possible?

Blackadder Not really, Mr Hanna. You see, Mr Baldrick may look like a monkey who's been put in a suit and then strategically shaved, but he's a brilliant politician. The number of votes I cast is simply a reflection of how firmly I believe in his policies.
