He'd have to make his own keyboard, his own sofware, and figure out how the link port works!!!

Good idea. The calc would be a lil' bigger, though...
How about a joystick or controller? You could take an old PS or nintendo and write an ASM program. You know, hook it up to the link port of a normal calc.

if he made an ASM program for it, the keypad will only work in the ASM program. Unless you made a keyhook, then it'll work in the TIOS too.

...or just solder the contacts in the joystick into the keypad underneath the rubber under the keys...

If you're lucky a really small regular screwdriver (phillips or flathead) might work. If it is just the right size it should be able to turn the little hexagons.

I made my own tool. You can buy one of those printer cartrage refill kits for InkJet printers. take the tip off of the ink refiller and flaten it abit, till it is the right size.

@Whoever it was that asked about modifications.
I've heard of people creating a color screen using LED's, but there are no ASM programs yet that would use it. There's always overclocking.

I heard agility made a bit of colored backlighthing once.

Yeah, agility, aka Kyle Bond, got the idea from me, but he never got his to work. rolleyes.gif

 We already had this discussion several months ago...I didn't steal the idea from you, I got it from another guy on TICalc, and I DID get it to work; haven't you seen my source? After all, he's asking for a colored backlight, which has already been established to work (which I have gotten to work, BTW; it's getting a full screen with multiple colors at once that's impossible).

Just because agility posted doesn't mean you get to spam.

@Raster- wouldn't that work with any sort of soft needle/rod thing?

yah, but its easier to use something like a seringe needle of some kind, becasue its hollow, so its easy to flaten.

You can also use the BIC Pen Method and melt pens into shapes that'll fit over the screws.
