has anyone else noticed that .jar executables are just a zips with a different extension? you can create jars yourself if you know what to put in it. check it out...create a copy of a jar file and rename it. change the extension to .zip. extract contents. change various icons. rezip and rename to .jar

Try doing that with an (un)archiving program that only supports zip or jar.

oh...I was talking about Java .jar's. not the kind mentioned on ArjSoftware

I thought this is common knowledge. Many programs use zip archives as data containers, jar files are just one application.

I didn't realize it until I went to download I jar file and it saved itself as a zip.

Also windows mediaplayer skins (and a lot of skins for other programs) nothing but zip-files with all the pictures and configuration data, simply renamed
