We have Upgraded our forums from IPB v1.3.1 to IPB v2.0.3. This is the first major step in our move of merging the entire website into a single database, with single sign-on. The missing news items stored in the deprecated Zabotage Database will be merged into this section during the next few days.

The ASMContest rules can still be found at http://www.unitedti.org/asmcontest/rules.php

So should we go to "unitedti.org", "www.unitedti.org", or "forums.unitedti.org" to get to the forums?

Oh, and I've noticed that [code] and [quote] tags in old posts didn't change to the newer, IPB2, look.

The others cause random logging-in problems for me (nothing serious, as it still considers me logged in when I try to post; however, it claims I'm not logged in when I click on the forums link).

go to http://www.unitedti.org/

I am thinking you went to http://forums.unitedti.org/ or http://unitedti.org/ then logged in and a cookie was created.

They you were redirected to http://www.unitedti.org/ where your browser did not return the cookie becaause the URL is different. e.g. it is a browser safety issue to prevent your browser from cross trading cookies.

Let us know how that works out.

It works fine now.

Any way to fix the code and quote tags in posts that didn't get changed? To see the problem, click on a snapback link in one of the quotes in my signature.

I meant the old quotes in posts before the forum update are still in the old quote format.

I am rebuilding all the posts and content now, this will take a few more minutes but fix the existing posts to use the new style for code and quotes.

The "Personal Block" of the portal appears to be a great concept. What do you use yours for? Any ideas of what I should do with mine?

Well, I got it fixed.

Now, you can go to http://forums.unitedti.org or http://unitedti.org or http://www.unitedti.org

Login and when redirected to http://www.unitedti.org everything will still work.

You won't be logged out.

It freaked me out at first when it happened to me to.

I think the smilies need some aliases to accomodate all the old texts for them. such as Smile Wink Laughing Laughing etc.

Just something to think about... Wink

Oh no, the emoticons are fine! It's the text put with them that needs adding. ': smile :' should also be Smile, etc. Get what I'm saying?
