Ever since I installed Nimbus5.1, if my calculator hits an error in a basic program, it simply resets

I don't think that's supposed to happen. It always asked me to either show the error or continue with nimbus.

I know its not supposed to happen. possibly its because I have 84+SE, but I don't know. This is in the main OS as well, not just Nimbus. another odd thing is I hit Ans++, and it returned "w", I hit Ans++ again and it turned blue and displayed garbage.

Sounds to me like a hook gone very bad, or something to that effect. Not good, whatever it is. You could try a full memory reset, or you could take out all 5 batteries and let it cool down. That is only if a RAM reset doesn't fix, of course.

When a RAM reset occurs, all hooks are removed.

Also, NimbusOS returns the calc to how it was upon exit for the most part.

It was not intended for any other calculator than the 83+

I would imagine it will run on the 83+ SE and the 84+ though.

A self test resets all of Flash if you do it long enough. Don't back up the calc itself, save all the programs to your computer (backing up in this case is hopeless because the problem will recur if you load the backup).

Have you tried resetting all memory?

no, because I don't want to have to resend everything. thats probably the next step though. By backing up, i meant all files, and apps
