There's a certain scaled down pic on a certain website. How would I view the whole thing if can't right-click (right clicks are blocked), can't drag it onto the address bar (it's a link), and can't edit it on frontpage (it's a password-protected page)?

Well, let's see the website (and I'll look for another website "locked" as such, and try out a few things, then get back to you).

[EDIT]

Have you tried saving the website to a local directory and viewing the source for the appropriate img tag?

In Internet Explorer, do File > Save As... and throw it onto the desktop. Open up "Studio 5 - All School Play 05_files," which is also saved there, and that should hold all your images.

Do you mean by this that you want the picture to be smaller? There are plenty of software applications that will do this for you. There are also other methods that involve MSPaint and Notepad where you can do anti-alias size reductions instead of nearest-neighbor pixel mapping.

Nevermind, I didn't see your edit.

Paint can change the size of a picture, as can the GIMP (can do a lot more).

No, I thought the pic was large in the server and then reduced for the site... so if I saved the picture I would have been able to see the big pic (like when you click here for my avatar).

Edit: Paint is the worst picture-size editor ever! If I didn't have photoshop, I'd prefer pasting it on MS Word, scaling it down there and printscreening it.

I've obtained the full-size picture and then sent it to you through email.

Yes, I would agree completely. Laughing
I was referring to html-conducted resizing,
which is made possible through a very little amount of script.

You didn't need to save, you could just look in your temp internet folder.

Or you could've used the printscreen key, if you wanted the scaled image anyway.

In Firefox:
Windows -
Tools > Options > Web Features > Enable JavaScript > Advanced: uncheck "disable or replace the context menu".
Mac -
Firefox > Preferences > Web Features > Enable JavaScript > Advanced: uncheck "disable or replace the context menu".

Gentlemen, start your right mouse buttons Smile

<div style="z-index:1;position:absolute;left:0;top:0;width:100%;height:100%;"><img src="transparant.gif" width="100%" height="100%"></div>

;)

But there's always just putting view:source:// or something like that, can't remember, in front of the URL in the adresbar.

EDIT: it's view-source:URL

So against firefox, there's no way to disable right-click menus?

Sweet...

There is a way and I know it:

<script LANGUAGE="Javascript">
<!--
function click() {
if ((event.button==2) || (event.button==3)) {
alert("Action restricted. See your system administrator for details!");
}
}
document.onmousedown=click; // make the click function an event for the page
-->
</script>

isn't that evil?

whoops this doesn't show up where I want it. Oh well. That JS code will disable right clicking. It can be easily modified to block any clicking at all. Bwahahaha

Which is very effective in my Mozilla where I have the nice little "disable all javascript" button checked.

Using javascript to enhance my webbrowsing experience is once thing, using it to annoy me and disable my access just pisses me off. Sadly most websites over the last 3 years + have only been using it to limit me, therefore allowing it to run is not an option anymore for me.

oh well. Not many people bother with that. Also I use JS to kill annoying frame ads on geocities. so that isn't exactly limiting

People who are pissed off because they can't resize an image might....

It's even better against pop-up ads, you don't even have to load the other frame first. Just put <name of window>.close or something like that in the header.

EDIT:
<script LANGUAGE="Javascript">
<!--
function click() {
alert('Nah, nah, nah, nah nah');
}
document.onmousedown=click; // make the click function an event for the page
-->
</script>
