ok, i bought an LCD monitor off of ebay, i get it here and (i am omiting other delivery issues) it does not display red, no shades of red, nothing. and i have noticed this for a few other colors too. could this be a driver problem or is there something deeper, i have tried all of the in-monitor remedys that i can think of but nothing seems to help, so i turn to all of you.

Your LCD monitor should work even without drivers. You should at least see your computer post, and it should work in VGA mode!

I would contact the Seller and eBay.

Does the screen have buttons on it to set the contrast, brightness and colors? On my screen, one could turn the amount of red and blue up or down. But that's a CRT though.

If your screen has that, you could easily fix it: just turn the red back on.
