Windows XP locks up when I start up FireFox. And pretty bad too, I have to use the power button to reboot.

I already uninstalled and reinstalled.

What could it be? : (

Did you happen to just install sp2? Laughing

If not, well ... what else have you done between the time it was working and the time is wasn't working?

I've had this same problem before, just so happened to be on day 2 of my trying out firefox, needless to say I went right back to my full Mozilla and haven't had a problem since.

Last thing I changed was updating to 1.0.2 but that worked for a while.

Just nuke your Application Data folder

Remove all Mozilla settings that way.

Chances are that some plugin or Extention is breaking Fire Fox.

Have you tried FireFox in safemode?

Anyway, uninstall firefox, then nuke its entries in application data, then install it again and it should work.
