Well, it really wouldn't be much different than Galaga Phoenix (as far as bullets and such go), just toss in a decent level reader and scrolling engine (steal it from Mario!), and bam - you have a one of a kind calculator game! Throw in some action packed screenshots, a decent set of level tiles, maybe upgrades offering bigger weapons and faster repeat rates, and get ready for a ton of downloads. I'd love to start/help with such a game, but I am right now w/o calculator, and my funds are directed towards getting another vehicle (you mean you aren't supposed to put bubble gum in the gas tank and eggs down the oil valve... oops!).

try explaning it to someone who only knows BASIC. If you can do that, then you're fine. If you can't, might as well stop now.

So anyway, is anyone going to start on "The Matrix" for the calc? That really would be a cool game. I know I would play it. Maybe you could even throw in a multiplayer mode with two people dodging, shooting, and kicking at each other.

Well, it has been a long time since I posted this idea, and it still is no where Laughing.

Re-reading the topic, it would prolly be better to just use an engine exactly like fbf's... battle system and all...

with the battle system, it could be turn based, and you could like have a dodge thing or something... I dunno, prolly just confusing y'all [again].

I could port my 3d engine into z80 assembly and we could write fps game with bullet time and everything! (Or that's a ridiculous idea that could never be implemented thanks to lack of resources.)
