I was always able to send programs to my calculator, until today. For some reason, my cable doesn't work anymore. When i try to send something, TI-connect reacts like if the calculator isn't connected at all. I tried a RAM clear, i tried graphlink and TILP (which doesn't want to open, so i didn't really try that.)They all react the same: as if there is no connection at all. I checked the connection several times, i plugged the cable in, plugged it out and in again, it still does the same. I also tried to reinstall the linking software, same result.

Do you have multiple ports that you can use for the cable? This happened to me once: I couldn't do anything until I put the cable in the port I had originally "installed."
Do you have VTI? Try doing the ROMdump to see if it is just TI-Connect or if there is a problem with the cable.

I only have 1 Comport. VTI can't dump ROM. I know the settings are right, they are the same as before, when it still worked. I also tried ti connects 'find' function. With the same result as all the other stuff.

I hope my cable isn't damaged to much, calc cables are really expensive over here. Maybe i'll make one myself, out of new parts or of the remains of the old.

You're using a serial Graph Link cable? Do you have anything with which to doublecheck that the serial port itself is still functional, and/or a friend's calculator to check that your linkport is still functional?

Does the calculator turn on when you plug in the cable? This happened on my old calc, I had used it so much the linkport actualy got pushed into the calc, thus it could not make a connection. If this is the case, I hope you've backed everything up.

My link port is still functional, i have sent a program to a friend's calc yesterday, it worked fine. I'm now going to try the com port of another computer... if i can find the graphlink. It's probably at my mothers house now (stupid divorced parents crap).
Actually, i rather have the cable broken than the comport. The cable probably is an easier (and cheaper) fix than the com port.

(who cares it's a double post)
The cable still doesn't work on the other computer, so unless both computers have a wrecked com port, my cable is broke. To do: search warranty form.
