I finally got fed up with the wierd symbols in graphlink, so I wrote a program to convert the symbols. As of now, it scans a file for the symbols and creates a new file with the conversions. I think I can include copying and pasting, and I can change what symbols are converted to what, so feedback would be nice. Very Happy

It converts these symbols:

To this:

Code:
->
><
>=
<=
ƒ(
e
ø
(pi)
^-1
²
³
³ƒ(
xƒ
10^(
r
T
[]
+
.

The box is for that tall f (It was the closest symbol I could find. I could change it to rt( instead, but I don't think I can do sqrt(. Sad)

You can click here to download it

I think I got all of them, but let me know Very Happy

if you have a big plus right next to a small plus, they will look identical after you convert the file. I guess that could get confusing, if you come across that problem Neutral

I wrote it in Qbasic. Very Happy It only converts from graphlink, but I could change that. Does anyone have better ideas for the substitutions? Maybe alt characters? And would anyone have a use for the ability to paste text and then copy the converted version?

Also, just in case someone was wondering, you have to have the file in the same folder as the program.
