Or, one could simply dl the legal copy of that in PDF... Not a clue where I found it though.
I prefer browsing the Internet for information regarding OpenGL, I hardly even read my PDFs. Hmm, I think I'll start from now on Smile

dude i hate to break it to you but that book was published in 1999. that is really old for a computer book and has probably been out dated for a few years...though it may make a good paperweight since it appears to be very large and heavy. on amazon it tells you when the book was published right bellow the "people who bought this also bought this" thing. if you want to buy a book make sure that it is no more than a year old. if the book is about a dead of rairly used (thus rairly changed) language then the publishing date is not neatly as important.

Or you could stick with that book and learn a slightly older version of that language, like learning DirectX7 instead of DirectX8. Then you can find plenty of stuff on the net about what has been changed and learning those changes isn't that much of a problem (most of the time).

Like wiggin said, there's always the oldies like pascal and qbasic Laughing.

It could have been written in 1832 for all I care, the version hasnt changed at all since that book was published. Every single line of that book is current, and unless you want me to buy a book from the future to stay "current" there's not much I can do about it. And I still dont see the "legal" version link anywhere, I doubt people would buy the book if they could just download it. Mabey you should read the book before dissing it and saying its a paperweight, if you have the patient to actually read a book that thick.

Have A Nice Day,
