I have a TI-83+ and I noticed that when I go to APPS I have a huge list of things I DON'T need. Now can I delete all of them or do I need some of them for the calc to function properly? And how do I delete the apps?

You may delete as you please, the apps are for your convenience only.

apps that are really useless:
CBL/CBR: unless you have a cbl or cbr, you'll never use this
PROBSIM: that's only for people that don't know how randint( works. Read the manual instead of wasting 32K
Scitools: converts feet to meters and stuff. Unnecessary, though not as useless as the previous 2

I believe those were preloaded. If you want to know which you should delete and which not, just run them and see if you need them.

I deleted all of them within 5 minutes of getting my new calculator.

Do you have a computer and link cable?

If not, StudyCard is useless. You can delete the application itself, as well as the two sample decks of cards (named TIINFO and TISAMPLE or something like that)

I found all of them useless. The apps that I currently have on my TI-83 Plus are:

Krolypto
Notefolio
Omnicalc
Organize
Symbolic

It doesn't matter too much for me because I also have a TI-84 Plus SE.

The only ones ones I have are MirageOS and CalcSys. I'm thinking of downloading Symbolic sometime but I'm too lazy to go buy a new cable.

Krolypto is the most useless thing ever... unless of course people are trying to steal your calculator daily or you have your social security/credit card number in there.
Notefolio is probably useless for you too. Just make programs and write notes in there.
Omnicalc is only good for programmers who program for people who have Omnicalc installed. It does, however, have a good keyhook that doesn't let you access memory menu, but so does mirage.
Organize is dumb. I deleted it the first day I got my calc. I don't even know much about it, just that it's dumb.
Symbolic is actually a good program, especially for people who are too lazy to buy an 89 that are in calculus. It's a great math program, in my opinion.

a little application that calculates the exact value of 1200! or 2^345. Stuff like that.

It's from Detached Solutions, check their site for more info.
