My home computer ran norton and found 19 bargain buddy files. Norton could not remove them. I then ran adaware and it found none. I found a post for a newer version of adaware and downloaded it and adaware still could not find the items found by norton. The items were all in these files:
SED.EXE
package8032_siac
javex80.vxd
mac80ex.idf
exdl3.exe
psis80ex.ax
netut80ex.vxd
I googled an inquiry on these files and found them all to be associated with bargain buddy. To get rid of them I brought the computer up in the safe mode and deleted those files listed above. After that I have not been able to get back online, I am using verizon dsl. I get the error 0x82600322. My norton also errors out with this error:
CCAPP caused an invalid page fault at KERNEL32.DLL at 0177:bff713db.

Get the files back and use spybot and hijackthis to get rid of spyware.
EDIT: you probably don't know how to recover files, use this.

| Thanks for the help, but after I got off work this morning I bit the bullet and called microsoft support, paid the $35 charge for the windows 98 support and spent 1.5 hrs with them getting my files reinstalled. I did get rid of all the spyware though. I hope who ever wrote that stuff gets the worlds worse case of hemoroids. Now that I know where to get help I'll not make the rash actions I took and delete files. You have a good day. |
