When I started messing with the registry, this is what I found out.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
To add objects to IE6's Right-Click Menu:

1. Make a new key (name of the key is what appears in the menu) under:

HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1214440339-1580818891-1708537768-1008\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MenuExt

2. Under the (Default) value, write the website URL or file name or program name or whatever you're gonna run when the person clicks your choice.

3. Make a new String Value called: Contexts

4.
a| To display your value in all IE menus, make the Value Data of Contexts "f3"

b| To display your value only in IE's image menus, make the Value Data "2"

c| To display your value while highlighting (with Copy, Paste, etc...) make the Value Data "10"

If you don't get it much, check out the other values in there and take them as a model.

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=823057 tells you how to do restrictions in IE.

You could easily make a registry file .reg to remove nearly all IE restrictions!

Simply open notepad and save the following as a .reg file. Put it on a floppy or cd or something.

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions]

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions]

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbars\Restrictions]

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Infodelivery\Restrictions]

Take your disc or disk to school or college or the library... and run the .reg file. Upon opening an new IE the changes will take effect.

If you've been blocked from viewing certain drives (or any) through IE so you can't access your .reg file that removes the limitations, you can use MS Word.

Make sure the "web" menu is there and just type in the path you want to open, like "a:"

Yeah, that's kinda what I did. At school, I even made a webpage on their Public Access folder that explained how to do that.

Does anybody know how to add menu items to windows itself (explorer) so if you right click on a file or anywhere else your option appears somewhere in there as well?

It'd be nifty to be able to right click,"open command prompt at this location", and have the command prompt opened without having to manually go to the directory you clicked on using cd and stuff.

Yes, and winzip and winrar also add a context menu to the right click menu but looking through the registry for those didn't help too much other than finding out I somehow need to translate or use those really long wierd codes they like to put in the registry keys.
