You have no idea how bored we are...

i thought you made a whole new screen out of LED's, which is a pretty lame idea... That's why i was so sarcastic about this project and stuff

Why...? I had never thought of that.... that would never work too well. Unless you could get 5888 RGB LED's, which would cost wayyyyy too much. Not to mention they don't come to tiny.

The backlight thing is a cool idea though

:D I have a way to make everything fit into the calculator now, and have just tested my theory and it works, so now I will try it on the real thing.

yeah, that's why i thought it was stupid...

18432 actually (96x64 screen points, and 3 leds per screen point)

there are tv's built like that, they are for pop concerts and outdoor events. But not for calculators of course! Laughing

I thought the same thing at first, calling it a screen is rather misleading, but then I saw the schematics.

Well, if it only says LED 3 times one might assume it doesn't mean there'll be thousands of them. Laughing

No, I said RGB LED's; LED's that have red, green and blue in them.

What part of the schematics do you not understand? Did you download the zip file? And yes, I know the pictures are blurry, I have an AOL digicam, and I'm not expecting to get a better camera until this Christmas, so until I get a hold of my mom's camera those pictures will stay there.

He means he doesn't understand schematics in general, he doesn't know what the symbols mean and such, not that he doesn't know what just your schematic means.

Uh, does he know how to read schematics then? Because I thought I made then relativly easy to understand.

Yes, that's what he means, that he can't "read schematics" as in understand them by reading them. ("as in" because reading doesn't require comprehension)

Okay, then following the PCB's would be best for leofox to try and understand then.

I have no idea why they load that slow; you can try downloading the zip file; that should be much faster.

I think logic gates in Dutch is Digitale logica, but that's just babel fish.

the reason it was that slow was because my internet had a little problem. Shortly after that, i had no connection anymore.

it's a Dutch "provider" which probably means ISP.

All Dutch providers are like that, Planet is even one of the more stable ones.

to get this back on topic:
where can i buy those RGB LED's?

Who's 'he'? Because I know, but I know that Kerm'll be reading this and I don't want him to find out where to buy them. If you really want to know PM me and I'll reply back to you with information on where to get them, as long as you don't tell Kerm! At least not yet anyways...
