I have a Ti-83+/SE and everytime i make a basic program and run it, it resets the ram?
I have Calcsys on it to check the battery status, and i found out at the batteries were dead so I changed them, but after I changed them and started over on programming the calc reset again and i checked at Calcsys and it said batteries were dead, but they were new! Whats the problem here? I have no idea and i am getting alittle ticked. |

Probably something to do with Calcsys. I had it on my old 83+ and it really sucked. It didn't do much of anything, the flags never stayed set, and usually everytime I set an option the calc started displaying some random hieroglyphs and crashing. DON'T USE CALCSYS. |

The mere fact that you are able to run CalcSys means that the batteries are alright (at least alright enough for you to run a prgm without it resetting), is it like this with all BASIC prgms or just one perticular one?
If it continues, try backing up whatever prgms and apps you have onto the computer, and redownloading the os to it from the comp.
I had a schoolmate who had a similar problem (he had lent his calc out), so I helped him redownload TI-OS to his calc and it works perfectly now. :)
EDIT: By the way, I think CalcSys is a brilliant program, besides the worst thing you can do with it (in my experience at least) is clear ram, which is alright as long as all prgms except the ones you are working on are archived

Thanks but I found out the problem.
The funniest thing is though, I had it on my calc for almost a year.
Could the problem be uploading a programing and deleteling programs everyday?

I don't think so, I do that every day, and I haven't had that problem with mine (83+SE).
What fixed the problem? |

Heh. Stupid Flash Apps. It's like all the people who complained that their 83+ would only let them select one y= equation at a time. I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to cause that even if I wanted to. Drove me nuts for months. Then somebody pointed out the inequality graphing Flash App. Sure enough. |

I think the apps(from ti) are the main reasons for all the problems people are having. |

ERR: UNDEFINED. What problems are you talking about, I have never had any problems with any apps what so ever. |
