Im trying to do a rom dump with a silver link (USB)
I have tilp and installed it correctly and it connect to the calc.

It sent the rom dump program, i launched it, it ran or about 1 second than said transmission error, and left the ### out of ### on the screen and had to take out the batteries to reset. Is there another romdumper made for the silverlink? Fast link just freezes. It will connect, but when i try to transfer stuff it freezes, or gives me the same error....

You shouldn't publicize such things, you know.

Edit: Awesome, what OS do you have on your computer?

As this has nothing to do with TiBasic and everything with general help and support, I'm moving this optic there.

It's written in assembly and TILP uses it.

I was gunna post the code but it's complicated, so here are some links to download the file in a zip or just plain file, what ever u feel like...

http://awesome1.kicks-ass.org/ROM83P.zip
http://awesome1.kicks-ass.org/ROM83P.8xp

Maybe someone can port it to .8XP
If they don't work e-mail me:
awesum1@rochester.rr.com
Or just wait a while for me to reply here when i check it again...

EDIT:
I also unlocked it using calcsys even though it's assembly

Check the info on the USB Graphlink device and post it here. (Driver info, etc.)

well it connect properly and everything, it will send the prog, wait for me to run it
*asm(PRGMROMDUMP83)*

But when I run it it will give me a transmission interruption. and i need to switch to the silver link driver
, and then back to the driver needed for TILP. Than it will do it again.

I guess i can some of it. Sorry but i really don't want to type it all.

Are you using the USB driver the was made for TiLP? It could be that the TI Connect driver is currently being used on the USB graphlink device.

if it is not in .8xp form and you have a 83+ or 83+se you cannot just change the extension on the computer! there are differences in the calcs that will make it fail!

i dont know. we would need the actual source, not the jumble of tokens you get when you unlock it on the calc.

Here is a rom dump program for the 83 that I think includes the source code with it. (It has a ".asm" file in it.) Don't know if that'll help...

I have no experience in ASM, if i did i would try and port it to 83+ (.8xp). It would be very helpful if someone did. I'll make a post in the assembly area...
