upload it to a website, and post a link. to get a web site, search Google for "free web hosting" or some similar phrase. (or Elgoog for "gnitsoh bew eerf" or some similar phrase.)

You are both correct. It does say browse and it does not say browse.

Let me explain.

b, you belong to the Members forum group
62 52 53 53, you belong to the UTI Members forum group

As the forum is currently set up, UTI Members have upload Avatars enabled, but regular members do not; therefore, there is no option to do that.

In fact, when makeing a post, UTI Staff has the option to upload an attachement, and the option to move, pin, or close a topic after posting.

Members can still link to an avatar or use one of the default ones, right ?

Yes normal members are able to use one of the default avatars from this forum or link to an off-site one. The reason this forum is set the way it is is to prevent massive file build up. When you got a hundered people uploading files 100MB doesn't last long.

My link isn't working, but if anyone wants they can try uploading theirs to the webspace I set up.

Zero Catch

User name: UTIavatars.0catch.com
Password: UTI

I think it's a problem with my comp, geocities didn't work either.

Give it a shot, I'd appreciate hearing (or seeing) the results!

That doesn't work because zero catch doesn't support remote linking, their tech support says you'll have to upgrade your account (from free to paid) in order for them to support it.

You would be better of with a seperate host which does support it to store your avatars and other files you're going to use for remote linking.

Try:
http://www.freepichosting.com/
http://www.f2g.net/

There are many others anda quick google search should get you on your way.

I think it'll be easier if i just don't use one. Thanks for the info, though.

YAY! I got mine to work! If anyone still wants to upload one, go to geocities.com and login in as "utiavatars"
with the password "utiuti"

Geocities doesn't support it either, see http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/geo/geo-10.html for more details.

The only reason you can see it is because you've visited the image before and it's still in your cache.

You can try www.web1000.com which has aways worked for me to put my avatars on.
