Meh. Quantity over quality. Since the 83 is mostly the domain of high school students, most of the programs that aren't games are really simple stuff like finding the slope of a line. Comparing across all the TI calculators, the 83 series is horrible to program for because it's so limited in the amount of variables you can use.

Again, it goes back to what's important to the user. I for one am not particularly dependant on any user base, so I'd rather use the more powerful calculator. But I also know that the situation of most people requires the opposite approach.

Ah, the early days. No Flash ROM. Only one type of Graph Link cable. ticalc.org had competition. I was a TI-85 user in a sea of TI-82s. I feel so old. Razz
