Your calculator has an ID number. This option lets you do just what it says, send and transfer the ID, as a list.

Sometimes the IDList shows up in the lists. How/Why is that?

Well, it can't be anything good because when I tried to paste the IDList through the list menu the calculator pasted L_@ and violently crashed.

MirageOS causes the ID list to appear after a memory reset?

no. after mem is reset, the calc genorates it. i think mirage messes it up so that you can attempt to veiw it. but when the calc tries to display it, it isnt in teh standard 9-byte fp format (only really needs 5 bytes)

What are the first two bytes (that usually hold the number of elements in a list)?

hmm. maybe it doesnt regenerate it after a ram reset, and i dont want to do a full reset. Sad
i have another idea.....

i dea didnt work. and to generate the list, you have to do reset defaults (right below reset ram)

I believe it does. Not sure if it's on the calculator, or what purpose it serves, but I do believe it does. (At the very least it displays the ID on your computer screen.)
