In order to solve a long-standing linguistic problem, UTI is bringing on board a new [s]underpaid translator[/s] UTI Member to translate anything Arabic for us. We have exactly one applicant; here is the application
Quote:
أهلا و سهلا! أن أةكلم لغت ألعرب

With Arabic, English, and two other languages, this person speaks a total of 4 languages, not including ]e3+5Pe@k. He originally was a member of tifreakware forums, and joined UTI on March 14. We must have missed it among all the celebrations, but joining on Pi Day is obviously an automatic qualification for membership. From his avatar, this person appears at first glance to be an advertising booth with resizing problems. However, any such notion is proven false by a long string of contributions to discussions on almost any subject. Lastly, this member has added to the general cheer of the forums by including small blue faces to almost every post. :P

I'm sure the rest of the community will join me in welcoming our newest UTI Member: frenchcalc1

Thank You! I greatly appreciate the care and respect from each one of you. I really am amazed by the community's honesty and it's incentives to help a total n00b like me. I thank you all once again, expecially all the staff, moderators, and all who have helped me in these forums (I would list you all, but I think there is a bandwidth limit on this server, right? Razz ) I hope I will be an even better contibution to the forums.

Btw, I really like the inclusion of l33t as a language Very Happy

Huh, didn't see you became a member...

I just thought you became an underpaid UTI translator minion rather than a UTI member. Harrier will be a bit frustrated...

Whatever. Clearly my post spamming isn't helpful to the community Razz.

But, being multilingual is clearly more helpful to the cross-continent community than being a somewhat helpful monolingual spammer.

TO CLEAR THINGS UP ONCE AND FOR ALL: Do you have to apply to become a UTI Member? Because I have seen multiple topics over this subject and al the ones that I have seen have staff/mods disagreeing with eachother.(Or maybe at the time of post,m they were not mods/staff, But it is kinda hard to find that out, and not a super important detail.

HarrierFalcon, like I said before in pm, you don't Spam!!(actually we all spam every now and then)but... You're posts are really helpful: Being the first to post something useful isn't spamming, it is the first to post that has nothing helpful to say or knows nothing of the topic that is spamming.(quote: me Smile ) Plus there are the awesome games you produce that help young programmers. Plus you've been with the community for, I wouldn't say a long time, but you have become experienced. Of course, there is the fact that Frenchcalc1 can converse with all the Arabic speakers here... :D

Edit: Btw, You must really love airplanes Ghost. Smile

The criteria to become a member does not depend on the number of posts one has.
Rather, it depends on the usefulness of the member to the community.

Who said anything about post count? It is evident that post count is irrelivent as it is a group and not a rank.(Uti supporter is only given to money contributors) What I was saying to HF, was not that he had a lot of posts, it was that the posts he has made have not been a waste.

FYI: This isn't like I am mad, nitaku. Smile (maybe I'll start putting blue smilies on all my posts. Smile <---Already started. Smile There I go again. Smile Ok I will stop. Smile

Thanks guys, but could we please stay on topic?

frenchcalc, it appears being multilingual is a wonderful pet to have. Other than Arabic and English, what else do you speak?
