gCn Makes Strides

gCn, or globalCALCnet2, Cemetech's project to make every calculator in the world accessible to a worldwide data network, has made major progress towards completion. Today elfprince13, my Chief Software Engineer for the PC-side host program, has completed the first part of his project. There is now a java program that will allow you to enter a host username and password and have it connect to the gcn.cemetech.net server, effectively making it ready to accept connections from gCn-enabled calculators. You can see a screenshot to go; note that the calculator- (client-)side protocol has yet to be written. We hope for continued progress in this endeavor.
