Dark Shadow In Late Beta
Published by KermMartian on July 2, 2003 at 12:00:00 AM CST | Discuss this article

I decided to start on a definitive BASIC space shooter game to round out my collection of BASIC games; I am calling it (tentatively) Dark Shadow. The finished version will have approximately the following features:
- Graphical menu and intuitive controls
- Powerups, including weapons, armor, and health
- A variety of large, graphical enemies of varying strengths
- A weapons engine with weapon power and hyper powerups
- Hidden levels
- High score table
as well as any other things I think up. Look for more updates here as the game progresses. By the way, it is inspired by these and other games: Space Invaders, Space Rocks, and especially a Wild Tangent game, the name of which escapes me.

Update: For those of you who know something about the TI-83, why, when I send ZDCS.83p to VTI and try to run the program with Send(9prgmZDCS , do I get a syntax error? Thanks!
