What kind of price point are you waiting for, Nikky?

I wont be getting an SSD as i dont have that kind of money laying around, and the SSD would be going in my desktop not my server . I've decided im just going to partition a section on one of my storage drives for the OS, or keep using my really old IDE as it still works, just slow. As per nikkys suggestion, it will also be using debian as the OS when i get back to the box tomorrow.

Will also be adding 2 1TB drives and a sata card when they get here.

To correct rcfreak0, that's unlikely to happen until/unless rotating disk drives become so rare and rarely-manufactured that their scarcity lends them higher prices. Then again, rotating hard drives are pretty close to the wall of capacity per unit volume unless some new amazing technologies show up, so to keep up with storage growth, solid-state devices may indeed be able to pick up the slack and continue to drop in moneys per unit storage.

I'll be patient.

Till then, I'll still be getting platters. Price matters too.
