I love that you have a Calculator Stuff folder. QuinnZhao, also very nice. Merth, Mufin, I haven't tried that myself, but it looks nice.

Also, to give you an idea of my My Documents top-level subfolders:
- Calc
- Cemetech
- Chrystina's Notes
- DCS7Dev
- Notes
- Old Schoolwork
- Personal Files
- Programming
- SDK
- Unsorted

SDK is the DCS SDK, which I use to develop my ASM programs, Notes contains subfolders for my current classes and non-calc projects, Old Schoolwork has folders ranging from "Elementary School" to "High School Sophomore" to "College Junior" and "College Masters". Each of the other folders are equally organized, and Cemetech is a nearly up-to-date duplicate of the Cemetech website filesystem.

I did have a multiple-monitor setup a few years ago:

Unfortunately since then one of my CRTs has given up the ghost and I can't physically fit two of these new-fangled widescreen monitors on my desk so I've gone back to a single monitor.

It is useful to have documentation on one monitor and the thing you're working on on the other. Frankly, I'd rather have a single monitor with a decent resolution than multiple monitors with a lower resolution, though.

I only rarely get the opportunity to use a monitor with >2048 horizontal resolution, but I certainly relish the opportunity. That's really the only time I'd rather have one monitor than 2 though.
Isn't that the same background that you've had for quite a while? It looks familiar...

I switched to using BlackBox as my Window Manager (and shell?). Here's some pics with various styles or themes of blackbox Smile
I like some better than others. I think 6 and 7 in particular came out decently.

1) I have a coding folder in "Ryhan"
2) School stuff goes in Dropbox (yay!)
3) Stuff I'm currently developing goes in folders on the desktop.

Not a clue on the icon, I'm afraid. Sad I hope that's your actual desktop background rather than something meta, though. Laughing

Just kidding. Here's my current desktop:

It's large so I linked to it instead.
Whew, that's a relief. I saw things like mario.8xk and worried that I was going to have to climb through the internet and punch you for having that horrifyingly disgusting of a desktop. Smile I like your current one, and it is of course obligatory that I inquire about the New Omnimaga Logo 2010 folder.
Oh, those are the image files and Photofiltre Studio project files that I have used to create the banner my default site theme is using. I believe I still have the folder somewhere.

Also my apologies for the foul language in one of the folder name. I totally forgot about that one. Razz

By the way this screen capture is from February, but my desktop barely changed.
Ah, gotcha, thanks for sharing. I try to keep my desktop at least as sparsely-populated with icons as yours is, but several of my friends' desktops have gotten disturbingly close to that joke screenshot.

Here's my current desktop on my laptop under Ubuntu 10.10 with, ironically, a Windows 7-like theme, some cool background and LOTS of icons on the desktop.

Nice one.

New desktop for me, I like to mix it up every once and a while.
I call this the extravagant minimalist. No icons but a lot of rainmeter skins.

In unrelated news, I decided to get Fallout: New Vegas. So, I am going to buy it on my way home today.
Juju, very nice! That looks great. xxEpic, I like the Rainmeter config on the left side of the screen, but the elements on the right side of the screen just aren't speaking to me that mcuh.
Secondary machine, used for Linux development and general data crunching. WM is musca, featuring guest artists urxvt, gvim and uzbl.

LOL, the Win2-7 theme pack FAILS under Maverick! Try it with Lucid (10.04LTS) if you want a REAL Windows7-like desktop! (I also have experience wth this; I use Ubuntu as well!)

EDIT: I am on my Wii, and my laptop with Ubuntu broke, so I can't give a screenshot ATM. Sad However, when I get a working computer again, I WILL re-install Ubuntu and show you Lucid with Win2-7! Smile
Also, I made a "restoration" shell script that will re-install every single program I have lost; it's on my flash drive, so it's not dead yet! That means nobody really needs to worry about my computer. xD
Excellent, that's very forward-thinking of you. Some of our members (cough calc84maniac cough) could learn from your example about disaster-preparedness.

Well, I installed Win2-7 completely, but then I got bored and uninstalled it, then when I upgraded to Maverick I found the new theme weird, so I chose the Win7 theme under System > Appearance while still having the Ubuntu layout, so that's not a real fail. I wanted it like this.

Also, an internet to anyone who recognize my background and/or find a meme on my desktop. (So easy.)
Not a clue, sorry. Sad It looks nice, but I can't find anything memetic there.
