Amusing link (see page 11):

Portable GIMP gave us some decent publicity:

Actually, some of this EgoSearching(tm) led me to make news.php append the current news article's title to the page title. woot.
hehehe...

so wait...I just opened the pdf file and searched cemetech in the file. But it was a business?
What was up with the second one...the link on that site was broken. Was that your old url? cemetech.designerscore.com....etc
yeah, designercore was the old site (what, I think only 3-4 of us here were on the that site if I remember, maybe a couple more).
Wow. So that was way back when.
Look at the About page

Cemetech was started in 2000 by Kerm Martian. It was originally a prototype group to develop inventions created by Kerm Martian. In Late 2000 Kerm began to program on Texas Instruments graphing calculators. This site was originally hosted at http://www.Cemetech.homestead.com. In late 2002 it was moved to http://www.geocities.com/kerm_martian, reachable through http://www.Cemetech.tk. After the site was accidentally deleted, it was finally recreated here at http://www.geocities.com/kermmartian, still reachable through http://www.Cemetech.tk. In the July 2004 a complex forum system was added, with a member and username system. In the fall of the same year, a new downloads system was redeployed with statistics. March 2005 saw Cemetech move to a better server at http://cemetech.designerz-core.com. With CGI and PHP access, no ads, and more, this seems to be the ideal host for Cemetech. It is still available from http://www.Cemetech.tk. When the site moved, the old forum had to be abandoned, so the forum was recreated with phpBB. Cemetech now contains information and program downloads of calculator hardware plans and software. It also has a forum and news about current projects.

Kerm... you REALLY need to rewrite that...
ok..so it was only 2 yrs ago...
I guess thats close enough to way back when. Very Happy lol

not much changed... couple words...last paragraph was fine though.

Cemetech was given life in 2000 by Kerm Martian. It began as a prototype group to develop inventions created by Kerm Martian. The Cemetech site was hosted by Homestead's free hosting and could be accessed at at http://www.Cemetech.homestead.com. In Late 2000 Kerm began to program on Texas Instruments graphing calculators.

In late 2002 the Cemetech site was moved to http://www.geocities.com/kerm_martian, reachable through http://www.Cemetech.tk. Unfortunately the site was accidentally deleted from Geocities, and was recreated at http://www.geocities.com/kermmartian, still reachable through the domain http://www.Cemetech.tk.

edit: why does it say 0x5 after mt smiley...where i meant to put L.O.L?
0x5 you can also replace the lol [overridden by coloring one letter black] in the  smilie with 0x5 Wink

It is lol in hex I think
lol is our lol here.

I was actually one of the first people to join the designorscore site (though I didn't visit for almost 2 months, then became really active after that), because I had joined the old forum (had one post, then forgot about it). I can't remember how long we have been on this site, but it has been a while now (when I say on this site, I mean at the hosting company we are at atm). Ah well.
oh ok. thnx.

Btw...

Ooh, Ooh! I was! I was! Smile I wasn't the from the beginning, but when I joined it was still the designerz-core site
true, you did join about the time that I became active.
yeah, hence why it says you joined March '05 and me May '05 - only a couple months difference there Wink
which means rivereye was inactive those first months...he had joined..but was inactive. That can only mean one thing.

TRAITOR!

jk. Laughing
No, he and I did the same thing, which is what I wish everyone would do. Join, say "Hi" (maybe), make a post here and there, but mostly stay quiet and learn who's who and how things work (not necessarily "rules", but just quirks of the people running this forum)

I don't think I made more than maybe 10-20 posts the first month or two after I had joined these forums - I just read and watched Smile
Read and watched... or stalked? Smile
actually, I had totally forgotten about the forum. I think it was when I stumbled upon the BE guide that I came back.
ya as you guys see, i joined last year in march..but i never posted a topic until just a week ago.
now my posting % is .08 a day
ha ha
